Pieces I’m Loved last month

I feel that last month was a really great month for trying new things. There are some products I’ve never tried and have become lifelong favourites and others that have been perfect for summer and will be making an appearance next summer for sure.

The first product is haymax (Holland and Barrett £5.82) I started the summer off with really bad hay fever. I couldn’t stop sneezing and my throat was constantly itchy so I was taking hay fever tablets however they were making me so drowsy and lethargic (even the non drowsy types). I had to find an alternative. Luckily in my search for a non hay fever summer I came across Haymax. There are 3 choices you can choose I choose the plain standard wax. It has honestly been a god send. I apply a little bit on the sides of my mouth, around the nostrils and the sides of my eyes. It worked amazingly from the moment I put it on. I think I only sneezed twice that whole day – which is good for me. I had to re- apply it throughout the day but it was so light it didn’t smudge or take off any of my make up. I’m so glad I found this.

My bargain find – Bronze Glow Shimmering Powder by Collection (Boots £2.99) This is in shade light, I have used more expensive bronzers in the past and I don’t think anyone would be able to tell the difference between the two. I apply it lightly with a brush on my forehead and on my cheeks. It adds a slight glow which is perfect for my pale skin.

Next favourite is Zoella Gelat'Eau Body Mist from Superdrug at £8. I have always loved Zoella beauty products and when she released her new range – Jelly and Gelato earlier this month I immediately ordered myself some goodies. The body mist is by far my favourite in the collection (get ready for a review of the range coming soon). It has a fruity and sweet fragrance yet still smells very fresh. I have a few squirts in the morning and I can still smell it on at the end of the day.

This month I’ve struggled with my skin breaking out. Maybe it was because of the warm weather but my skin becomes quite oily and lumpy. That is when it’s time to bring out my trusty Clinique 3 step anti blemish set (Debenhams £25). I only used Clinique when I absolutely need to as I find it can dry out my skin. I started using the face on Monday and by Friday my skin had almost completely cleared up apart from the few odd spots. It is more expensive than some of the other brands but I feel it is worth every penny.

Any finally my new conditioner Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Repair & Protect

£1.98 from Superdrug – this was on sale from £3. I have never come across this conditioner before and I usually like to have a good browse of all the hair products. I usually blow dry and straighten my hair and even though I use all the heat protecting product I do find my hair get weak and have so many split ends. I wash my hair like normal then I leave in this conditioner for 3 minutes (obviously). After washing it off there is such a noticeable difference, it felt smooth and smelt wonderful. Once I dried my hair it was shiny and felt somewhat thicker and after straightening it was so silky. This is defiantly a forever product, I’m so tempted to get the shampoo. I just hope there are some good offers on.

These have been my last month favourites, hopefully next month there will be even more to enjoy.
